Are you looking for a prehistory WOW day as part of the new National Curriculum?  Your year group can spend the day with our prehistoric experts and live as Ancient Britons in the comfort of your own school - plus no travel costs!!

Covering the Stone, Bronze and Iron Age this day includes an exciting range of hands-on activities for your pupils:

 

Example program:

Introduction - face painting

Stone Age activities:

  • Friction firelighting demonstration

  • Make clay necklaces

  • Hunting techniques and flintknapping

Iron Age activities: 

  • Grind Grain & Dough Making 

  • Carding & Spinning

  • Dyeing and Bracelets

  • Trading & Trading Game 

  • Weapons Demo and Warfare

 

 

 

 

 

 

KS2 Stone Age Day

at Celtic Harmony Camp, Hertfordshire

 

Discover the Excitement of Exploring & Learning in a Woodland Environment

 

Your pupils will experience a range of exciting activities in various stimulating settings including:

  • Introduction in the stone age encampment

  • Friction Fire lighting and Flintknapping talk and display

  • Den Building in the Woods

  • Hand Painting and clay craft necklace

  • Hunting and Gathering in the Forest.

  • Trading

Traders (Trading in the afternoon has two parts:)

Part 1: your class will swap real artefacts as they role play as characters and use numerical problem solving in the trading game to barter for a wide range of goods.
Part 2: your pupils will enjoy Trading with Tagua, by swapping their pocket money for coins to trade for the more precious produce in the shop, with a wide range of heritage produce supporting local craftsmen.
